“Solving for life’s most
inevitable, yet least
prepared for moment.”
Why Willzee exists
Too many New Zealanders die without a Will. When that happens, the people left behind face unnecessary heart-ache, long delays, legal confusion, and in some cases, the wrong people inheriting everything.
It’s not just the absence of a Will that causes pain. It’s the outdated process that surrounds it. Even those who do make a Will often delay updating it — because the system charges them again for each revision. That leads to documents that are out of date or incomplete, leaving families exposed when the unexpected occurs.

A personal story
Willzee was born from lived experience.
Our founder, Clint Bratton saw first-hand the injustice that can occur when someone dies without a Will.
A member of his extended family tragically died by suicide, spending time to document a tortured account of her struggles, but no Will or statement of wishes. Under laws of intestacy, the estate passed to the people at the heart of her suffering.
